Potassium sulfide is primary reducing agent, which is widely used in electroplating. Now introduce two common usage methods.

 

1, blackening

Potassium sulfide can blacken silver and beryllium copper directly. It has the enhance effect when it is used to brass blackening. And it is popular to use in copper blackening. This product has the characteristics of normal temperature blackening,Simple preparation,direct use when adding water and dealing with the larger area with a little quantity. The film layer is from grey to blue black to black and the film layer has certain hardness as the additive quantity of the potassium sulfide and the time of immersion change.

 Potassium sulfide         5~12g/L

Industrial ammonia       0~60ml/L

Temperature            room temperature

Time                    5~30seconds

Notice: potassium sulfide can firstly prepare the 200g/l concentrated solution in the sealed container when use larger number. But the time should not be to long. If not, it will easy to oxidize.
